Job Opportunity : NewClimate Institute is looking for a Project Manager Climate Action Tracker
NewClimate Institute is seeking an experienced climate policy analyst to enhance its team in the areas of national mitigation targets, policies, and actions. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the Climate Action Tracker project, in collaboration with other team members. Responsibilities include coordination, planning, budgeting, staffing, and content development related to the Climate Action Tracker. The role also involves conducting both quantitative and qualitative analysis, and leading or contributing to research reports.
The candidate will become an integral member of the country action tracking team, which assesses countries' progress toward global and national goals under the Paris Agreement. This team works on projects such as the Climate Change Performance Index, the Climate Action Tracker, and evaluating national climate policies for the European Commission.

Additional Information
A Master's level university degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., climate policy, engineering, energy systems, political economy, environmental sciences, physics).
6-8 years of experience in climate or energy policy.
Experience managing projects and teams, with a high degree of cultural sensitivity.
In-depth knowledge of key aspects of climate change and energy policy at both international and national levels.
Familiarity with national emissions inventories, energy data, greenhouse gas projections, and the UNFCCC process.
Strong aptitude for quantitative analysis and proficiency in working with data tools and techniques.
Confidence in engaging with stakeholders on climate change issues (e.g., governments, businesses, and civil society).
Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills; the ability to communicate ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Full proficiency in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus.
