FULLY FUNDED TO VALENCIA, SPAIN: Apply for the ClimaTech a connect Programme for young climate innovators in Europe
Applications are open for the ClimaTech Connect Program, led by EIT Digital and Climate-KIC, inviting early-stage digital start-ups focused on climate impact to apply. If your team is creating a digital solution that addresses climate challenges, this is your opportunity to secure grant funding and a fully covered trip for up to three members to Valencia, Spain, where you’ll pitch your innovation during the Demo Day this October.
This initiative offers emerging climate tech start-ups the chance to access expert mentorship, practical entrepreneurship education, and invaluable networking within the European climate innovation ecosystem. The program is designed to nurture digital solutions with meaningful climate impact and to help teams refine and scale their technologies through strategic support. Selected teams will participate in an intensive entrepreneurial learning journey that focuses on enhancing digital innovation capabilities and driving environmental progress.
Successful applicants will benefit from guidance in areas such as problem-solving, business model development, market validation, and technology readiness, all while learning to navigate the complex climate tech landscape. Throughout the program, participants will be challenged to strengthen their product-market fit by engaging with real market stakeholders, thereby laying the foundation for potential pre-seed investment and strategic partnerships.
At the Demo Day, scheduled for the third week of September 2025 in Valencia, the top ten teams will present their solutions to a panel of experts. Four of the most promising start-ups will be awarded grants, with two teams receiving €25,000 each and two others securing €15,000 each. These funds must be used for further product development and technology refinement by the end of 2025.
For those selected to attend the Demo Day, travel and accommodation costs for up to three team members will be reimbursed, provided expenses are documented and conform to the organizers’ travel policies. However, travel arrangements must be made by the participants themselves and are only covered for trips between the start-up’s home base and Valencia.
Eligible applicants include digital start-ups that were established at least one year ago and are currently in the pre-seed stage. At least one core team member must be a graduate of an EIT program. Companies must be based in one of the EU Member States or a Horizon Europe Associated country, with preference given to ventures from EIT Regional Innovation Scheme countries. All participants must demonstrate strong English communication skills and be either founders or senior executives within their companies. Only one application is permitted per start-up.
If you believe your digital innovation can make a real difference in the fight against climate change, don’t miss this opportunity to apply for the ClimaTech Connect Program and propel your venture toward impactful, scalable solutions.
