ALIPH is a Swiss foundation based in Geneva, with the status of an international organization. As the only global fund exclusively dedicated to the protection of cultural heritage in conflict areas, ALIPH supports concrete projects in the fields of prevention, emergency response and rehabilitation. To fulfill its mission, the foundation requires the financial support of States, foundations and private donors.
- Communications Internship
Key responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director of Communications and Partnerships, the Communications Intern will support the broader objectives of the department, especially in preparation for ALIPH’s upcoming 10-year milestone. Applicants should be fluent in both English and Arabic, with strong proficiency in written Arabic. This internship is compensated. Candidates must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited undergraduate or postgraduate institution.
2. Programs Director
Key responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Director of Programs is responsible for the following:

Oversees a team of seven project managers currently working on heritage-related initiatives.

Offers expert guidance on scientific, technical, and policy matters related to the protection of cultural heritage in areas affected by conflict, crises, or illicit trafficking.

Collaborates closely with the Director of Development to shape ALIPH’s assistance programs, including designing project calls and rapid response strategies.

Helps define and manage the evaluation and selection processes for project proposals supported by the organization.

Administers ALIPH’s digital grant management system.

Ensures the successful execution of projects focused on heritage preservation and efforts to prevent the illegal trade of cultural artifacts.

Works with the Director of Finance and Operations to establish effective systems and tools for managing project workflows.

Expands ALIPH’s global reach by cultivating strategic partnerships and enhancing its international presence.

Partners with the Communications and Partnerships team to contribute to content creation, including web updates and press materials related to funded initiatives.

Attends and actively participates in relevant global forums and expert gatherings as needed.

Prepares content for Scientific Committee sessions and contributes to organizing Board meetings.

Assists in shaping and executing the organization's long-term development goals alongside the Director of Development.

Undertakes additional responsibilities and provides high-level input as directed by the Executive Director.
3. Project Officer - Anniversary and Partnerships
Key responsibilities
Working under the guidance of the Director of Development, the Project Officer for Partnerships and the 10th Anniversary plays an active role in organizing ALIPH’s upcoming decade milestone. In collaboration with the Strategic Partnerships Project Officer, this role also supports fundraising initiatives. Although the primary emphasis is on coordinating the anniversary activities, the position also contributes to broader institutional efforts aimed at enhancing the foundation’s growth and fundraising strategies.
