GRANT : Apply For The APNIC Foundation Research Fellowship 2025
Applications are open for the APNIC Foundation Research Fellowship 2025, which will support five researchers to conduct a four-month remote project between September and December 2025. Each selected fellow will receive a USD 10,000 grant to deliver applied, policy-focused research addressing critical issues influencing the future of the Internet in the Asia Pacific region.
Fellows will focus on one of four key areas:

AI and the Future of Work – exploring automation, skills transformation, and reskilling strategies.

Internet Infrastructure and Operations – studying IXP performance, network topology, and the influence of geopolitics on digital infrastructure.

Digital Public Infrastructure and AI Capability Gaps – evaluating national DPI readiness and regional disparities in compute, data, and talent.

Internet Stability and Measurement – investigating routing performance, IPv6 adoption benchmarks, churn patterns, and ethical measurement methods.
Cross-disciplinary proposals will also be considered, provided they remain targeted and achievable within the fellowship timeline.
Expected outputs may include datasets, tools, frameworks, or policy guidelines to inform governments, technical communities, and industry stakeholders.
