FULLY FUNDED TO LVIV, UKRAINE: Apply for the DW Akademie Ideathon in Lviv for content creators, educators and advocates (cash prizes available)
DW Akademie is calling on content creators, media and information literacy (MIL) advocates, educators, and nonprofit organizations to join an Ideathon in Lviv from October 24 to 26, coinciding with Global Media and Information Literacy Week. The event is designed to inspire innovative solutions that address challenges faced by teenagers and young adults, including cybersecurity, online wellbeing, safe digital communication, and the prevention of cyberbullying. Participants will also explore interactive teaching methods and gamified approaches to learning.
During the Ideathon, international mentors will guide teams through design thinking exercises, providing practical tools to help generate new ideas, create engaging formats, and collaborate effectively in group settings. The working language for the event will be English. DW Akademie will cover travel expenses to Lviv, accommodation, and meals for all participants.
At the conclusion of the Ideathon, a panel of judges will select three outstanding participants to receive funding from DW Akademie to further develop their proposed projects. The total prize pool amounts to 15,000 euros. Those interested in taking part are encouraged to submit applications by September 8, 2025, with the selected participants being notified on September 29, 2025.
This initiative is part of DW Akademie’s ongoing media and information literacy program in Ukraine, which receives support from the European Union.
