Applications are open for the Youth Organizer Engagement Program, an initiative aimed at strengthening the capacity of young leaders within the Youth Climate Justice Movement. The program seeks to prepare participants to effectively support their peers in the lead-up to COP30, while also navigating the unique challenges that may arise before, during, and after the conference.

Through this program, participants will gain practical skills in risk assessment and learn comprehensive strategies for building safety and security frameworks that help prevent and reduce risks associated with climate activism. The training will also cover ways to access crucial resources and networks, including guidance on how to utilize the COP Safety Hub when needed.

This opportunity is intended for young people who are actively engaged in the Youth Climate Justice Movement, whether through an organization or collective, and who hold positions of trust and responsibility within their delegations. Selected participants should be actively involved as leaders or coordinators, demonstrate reliability, and embody the values of the COP Safety Hub.

The program consists of five sessions running between September and October. Applicants should be committed to taking part in all sessions and be planning to join COP30 in Belém, Brazil, though confirmation of attendance is not required at this stage. Fluency in English, Spanish, or Portuguese is also essential. Each participant must be nominated or endorsed by a member of their delegation or a trusted ally.
