The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization that is dedicated to promoting strong, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. Through its programs, GGGI works to support nations in their transition toward low-carbon, climate-resilient pathways.

The Youth Delegates Program, also known as the Grow Green Internship Program, provides a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain practical experience in international development and green growth. The initiative is designed for talented and motivated individuals who are passionate about sustainability, climate change, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It allows participants to learn directly from the work of GGGI, while contributing to communications and outreach activities that amplify the organization.

Once selected, delegates will participate in an orientation session organized by GGGI to prepare them for their responsibilities. They will then engage in a variety of activities such as conducting interviews with GGGI staff, promoting flagship publications, producing social media content to highlight programs, and supporting the execution of GGGI events. During GGGWeek 2025, youth delegates will be required to attend and actively participate in all sessions, whether in person or virtually, and will be tasked with producing event summaries, social media posts, reels, and other content in line with GGGI’s communication standards. All activities will be reviewed to ensure alignment with the organization’s values and messaging.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must be students currently enrolled in universities in Korea, or recent graduates who completed their studies within the past year. Candidates should demonstrate a clear interest in international organizations, climate change, sustainable development, or green growth. Since the program is heavily communications-based, applicants must be active on social media platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or blogs, or at least be able to demonstrate their ability to create engaging content. Proficiency in English or Korean is required, and knowledge of both languages will be considered an asset.

Application Procedure

Delegates will be expected to help disseminate GGGI’s core messages and thematic priorities in youth-friendly formats and through innovative channels. They will also support event management, create and share original content such as blogs, videos, and social media posts, and actively participate in the communication campaigns that surround GGGI’s events. Throughout the program, they will gain valuable exposure to global sustainability discussions while developing their own professional skills.
