REMOTE JOB OPPORTUNITY : The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is hiring a Global Teams Lead – Conservation Strategy
The Nature Conservancy is looking for an experienced conservation professional to join its global team as Global Teams Lead – Conservation Strategy. This role sits within the Conservation Impact System Team and plays a key part in helping conservation teams plan, adapt, and scale their work to achieve meaningful impact toward TNC’s 2030 goals.
The successful candidate will work closely with TNC’s global conservation priorities—Protect, Provide, and Tackle Climate Change—as well as with teams across the European region. The focus of the role is to support adaptive management, strategic decision-making, and portfolio management so that conservation efforts are effective, responsive, and impactful.
This is a highly collaborative position, working across cultures, regions, and disciplines to ensure conservation strategies are practical, inclusive, and aligned with on-the-ground realities.

Key Responsibilities

Support global and regional conservation teams to design, adapt, and strengthen conservation strategies for greater impact

Build strong working relationships with senior conservation leaders across global priority areas and the EU region

Provide tailored coaching, facilitation, and training on conservation strategy and adaptive management

Help leadership prioritize resources, teams, and initiatives to maximize conservation outcomes

Coordinate and oversee delivery of strategy support, including managing external consultants when needed
-
Track and assess the effectiveness of strategy support to ensure it contributes to measurable conservation results

Promote collaboration between global teams and place-based teams to ensure responsible and effective field operations

Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement across regions and teams

Additional Information
- At least 2 years’ experience leading projects or initiatives
- Strong background in agile or adaptive management approaches
- Experience coaching or facilitating teams in collaborative environments
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Experience working across cultures and regions (Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, or Europe)
- Current residence in a country where The Nature Conservancy is registered
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and community-centered conservation
- Willingness to work across time zones and travel internationally when required
Desirable Experience
- Background in conservation, development, or environmental programs
- Experience in innovation, entrepreneurship, or systems change
- Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL)
- Comfort working in learning-driven, adaptive organizations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
