Youth4Climate (Y4C) has launched its third annual Call for Solutions, offering young individuals and youth-led organizations the chance to access funding and learning opportunities. This initiative is designed to support innovative climate projects that are ready to be implemented or scaled, providing both financial resources and expert guidance to enhance their impact.

Since its inception in 2023, the Call for Solutions has provided direct funding of $2.5 million to 100 youth-led projects across 52 countries. This year, Y4C is continuing its commitment to empowering young climate leaders by supporting solutions that address critical environmental challenges in six key areas. The initiative is a collaboration between the Government of Italy, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and various knowledge partners, all working together to identify and nurture promising youth-led climate innovations.

The Call for Solutions is open to young individuals aged 18 to 29 who meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the official guidelines. It is also available to legally registered, youth-led organizations, including civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations, community-based organizations, and companies, where the majority of leadership falls within the 18 to 29 age range. Applicants must be nationals of an eligible country, and the proposed project must be implemented in one of the countries listed in the application guidelines.

Successful applicants will receive funding of up to $30,000, depending on the proposed work plan and budget. This financial support will be disbursed in stages, based on the completion of specific deliverables and the signing of a contract with UNDP. Individual applicants will receive payments through their personal bank accounts, while registered organizations will have funds directed to their official accounts. All selected projects must be implemented within a maximum period of 24 months.

Applications can be submitted in English, French, Spanish, or Portuguese.
