Apply for the Forest & Farm Restoration Incubator & Accelerator Program
Applications are now open for an environmental entrepreneurship program led by the E4Impact Entrepreneurship Center, designed to strengthen community enterprises working in forest restoration, sustainable agriculture, and nature-based solutions across Kenya.
The initiative supports grassroots businesses and organizations contributing to ecological restoration while building resilient local economies and sustainable value chains.
Program Overview
The program focuses on empowering enterprises that restore landscapes, address land degradation, and promote climate-smart environmental practices.
Selected participants will:
- Strengthen business models linked to ecosystem restoration
- Participate in structured incubation and acceleration support
- Engage with mentors, industry experts, and peer innovators
- Expand networks within the restoration and green enterprise ecosystem
- Enhance operational, financial, and environmental impact capacity
The initiative targets enterprises operating within Baringo and Elgeyo-Marakwet counties.
Eligible Ventures
Applications are open to early-stage organizations and enterprises such as:
- Forest and Farm Producer Organizations (FFPOs)
- Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)
- Startups and cooperatives
- Community-based organizations (CBOs)
- Indigenous Peoples’ organizations
- Women-led and youth-led enterprises
Eligible ventures must generate USD 0–10,000 annual revenue and be developing or validating their business solutions.
Priority Thematic Areas
Projects should contribute directly to restoration-based value chains, including:
- Forest and landscape restoration
- Tree planting services and nursery systems
- Agroforestry and regenerative agriculture
- Silvopastoral grazing and pasture rehabilitation
- Circular economy and waste-to-value initiatives
- Renewable energy and bioeconomy solutions linked to restoration
- Climate-smart technologies
- Sustainable waste management and nature-based solutions
Activities causing environmental harm, deforestation, or ecosystem degradation are not eligible.

Additional Information
Applicants are expected to:
- Operate in Kenya and work within target landscapes
- Demonstrate basic financial and administrative capacity
- Uphold environmental and social safeguarding standards
- Promote inclusion of women, youth, and underrepresented groups
- Attend all in-person bootcamps (3 days per month for 5 months)
- Participate in mentorship, training, and learning sessions
