Applications are currently open for the second cohort of the UN Food Systems Youth Leadership Programme (YLP), a global initiative coordinated by the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub with support from Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Young professionals working to transform food systems now have an opportunity to join a global leadership initiative designed to strengthen their impact and expand their international networks.

The programme seeks to bring together emerging leaders from across Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean who are actively contributing to food systems transformation through policy, research, entrepreneurship, advocacy, innovation, and community engagement.

About the Programme

The Youth Leadership Programme is designed to support a new generation of changemakers working to build sustainable, inclusive, and resilient food systems. Building on the achievements of its inaugural cohort, the programme continues to expand its global community of young leaders committed to addressing food security, environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and equitable development.

Participants engage in a comprehensive leadership journey that combines practical learning, mentorship, collaboration, and peer exchange. The programme aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to create meaningful change within their organizations, communities, and countries.
