Circle Innovation is announcing the call for applications for the DAOBAB Hackathon, aimed at teams of young individuals aged 18-25 residing in Kenya. The objective of the hackathon is to develop concepts for enhancing the digital experience of the "Roots to Grow" game, which focuses on improving financial literacy and risk management skills in a fun and engaging manner through board game-based learning. The game has undergone prototyping and testing in Kenya, with feedback utilized for further refinement.

Program Overview:
The program spans 6 months and is divided into two phases: the Hackathon and Prototype Testing, followed by Implementation. During the Hackathon, teams will gain hands-on experience learning how "Roots to Grow" operates and will proceed to develop basic digital prototypes with simplified features for iteration and enhancement. The top 2-3 teams with the best prototypes will then collaborate with mentors for 3 months to refine their solutions. In the second phase, the team with the most promising idea will receive funding and ongoing support for implementation over 3 months, aiming to bring "Roots to Grow" to life digitally through a blend of creativity and innovation.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Team: Comprised of 3 to 5 individuals aged 18-25 with diverse skills, including full stack developers, back-end developers, front-end developers, or UI/UX designers. Female participation is encouraged.
- Location: Teams must reside in Kenya.
