Are you part of a child and youth organization in Brazil focused on climate change and environmental issues? Here’s your chance to be a key partner in one of the largest global events on climate change, the 20th Global Conference of Children & Youth on Climate Change (COY20)!

COY is an official YOUNGO flagship event designed to empower young people and ensure their voices are included in UNFCCC climate processes. COY20 will take place in Brazil just before the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30), offering a critical platform for youth to contribute to international climate policies.

The main components of COY are:

• Policy Document
• Capacity Building
• Skill-building Workshops
• Cultural Exchange

COY serves as a space for young people to prepare for COP, bringing their voices into the climate negotiations through the Global Youth Statement on Climate Justice.

CALL FOR PARTNERSHIP
YOUNGO is inviting child and youth-led organizations in Brazil to apply as co-hosts for COY20. This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate on an event that promotes accessibility, inclusion, and diversity while advancing climate justice.

Key Requirements:

• Youth organizations that work on climate change and environmental issues in Brazil
• You can apply individually or as a coalition (organizations working with children and those in Pará will receive extra consideration)

Timeline:

• Verification & Interview: February 20th-25th
• Announcement of Co-hosts: March 10th
• Handover from COY19: March 15th
