Are you passionate about climate action and eager to make a difference in your community? The YOUNGO Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) initiative is now accepting applications for 2025! Hosting an LCOY offers a unique chance to engage young people in your country, amplify their voices, and contribute to global climate advocacy.

The application process is open to both individuals and groups planning to organize an LCOY in their country. Whether you already have a clear plan or are still developing your ideas, this is your opportunity to present your vision and strategies. Collaboration is encouraged, so consider partnering with other youth leaders or groups in your area to submit a joint application. To help you get started, YOUNGO has provided a list of last year's organizers for inspiration and potential partnerships.

Applications will be reviewed by the YOUNGO LCOY Working Group. To ensure impartiality, group members will not evaluate submissions from their own country or region. Please be aware that applications generated by AI tools will be automatically disqualified, so ensure your submission reflects genuine, human-led creativity and effort.

The deadline for submissions is January 19, 2025, at 11:59 PM UTC. Late applications will not be considered unless the LCOY Working Group specifically requests a revision or resubmission. After submitting, you will receive feedback by February 7. Promising applicants will be invited to a brief virtual meeting in the second week of February to discuss their plans and address any questions. If your meeting is successful, you’ll receive a confirmation form to finalize your approval letter, officially allowing you to begin organizing your LCOY.
