FULLY FUNDED : Apply for the Climate Equity Lab 2026–2027 | Leadership Programme on Climate, Gender & Just Energy Transitions
Applications are now open for the Climate Equity Lab, a nine-month international leadership programme hosted by Intertidal Lab.
The initiative brings together community-rooted leaders working at the intersection of climate action, gender equality, care systems, and equitable energy transitions across India and Indonesia.
Designed as an immersive learning journey, the programme supports participants to co-create community-driven solutions while strengthening collaboration across regions and movements.
About the Climate Equity Lab
The Climate Equity Lab responds to the growing need for climate solutions that center justice, inclusion, and community power.
Rather than focusing only on emissions reduction, the programme explores how climate and energy transitions can:
- Advance gender equality
- Strengthen community resilience
- Build fair and inclusive systems
- Support locally led transformation
Participants engage in collective learning, reflection, and collaboration to design initiatives grounded in real community needs.
Applicants should:
- Work at or plan to work at the intersection of climate and gender justice
- Be connected to grassroots communities or collectives
- Demonstrate commitment to collaboration and shared learning
- Be comfortable communicating in English
- Commit fully to all programme phases
Programme Timeline
Key Milestones
- Information Session: 6 May 2026 (online)
- Application Period: April – May 2026
- Application Deadline: 31 May 2026
- Acceptance Notifications: Mid-June 2026
- Onboarding Begins: Week of 29 June 2026
Programme Phases
1. Explore (July – September 2026)
Weekly online sessions and coaching focused on learning and reflection.
2. Immerse (October 2026)
One-week in-person gathering in Bali, Indonesia.
3. Incubate (November – December 2026)
Individual mentorship and development of community initiatives.
4. Implement (January – February 2027)
Support to launch and apply projects within participants’ communities.
Financial Support
The programme fully supports participation costs, including:
- Round-trip airfare to Bali
- Accommodation and meals during the onsite gathering
- Visa invitation letter and visa fees
- Travel insurance coverage
