Applications are open for the Global Youth Mental Health Research Fellowship 2026, an international capacity-building initiative focused on developing emerging leaders working in child and adolescent mental health. The fellowship supports early-career professionals and individuals with lived experience to strengthen research, advocacy, and clinical practice aimed at improving youth mental wellbeing across low- and middle-income countries.

Program Overview
The fellowship is delivered by the Global Institute of Human Development at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University in partnership with leading global institutions:

Through cross-country collaboration, the fellowship aims to nurture clinical, academic, and community leaders capable of advancing evidence-based mental health systems.
Fellowship Focus Areas
Participants will engage in structured learning and applied research covering:
- Foundations of global youth mental health
- Research design, ethics, and safeguarding
- Community engagement and policy influence
- Randomized controlled trial development
- Data analysis and risk prediction methods
- Scientific writing, publication, and dissemination
Fellows will work full-time within supervised research teams and contribute to ongoing international studies addressing child and adolescent mental health challenges.
