FULLY FUNDED : Apply for the New Roots Institute Fellowship
The New Roots Institute Fellowship is now accepting applications from motivated students who want to play an active role in shaping a fairer, more sustainable food system.
This fully funded, virtual fellowship is designed for high school, college, and graduate students who are interested in leadership, advocacy, and systems change—particularly around industrial animal agriculture and food justice.
About the Fellowship
The programme begins with a six-week online Leadership Academy, where participants build a strong foundation in advocacy, ethical leadership, and effective communication. Fellows explore the social, environmental, and economic impacts of today’s food systems while developing practical skills for change-making.
Participants who complete the Leadership Academy may continue into the Academic Year Fellowship, where they design and lead real advocacy campaigns on their campuses or within their communities. Throughout the fellowship, participants receive close mentorship, personalised coaching, and hands-on support from experienced advocates and organisers.
Don't miss out on the application deadline which is 25 Feb 2026.
