Applications are now open for the Presidential Leadership Scholars Program – Class of 2027, an intensive leadership development initiative designed for experienced professionals committed to driving positive change in their communities, organizations, and sectors.

The program brings together accomplished leaders from diverse professional backgrounds for a six-month learning journey focused on leadership growth, collaboration, and real-world impact.

Participants explore leadership insights inspired by past U.S. presidential administrations while strengthening their capacity to address complex societal challenges.

Program Purpose

The initiative supports leaders who aim to expand their influence and advance meaningful solutions through:

• Personal leadership development and reflection
• Cross-sector collaboration and dialogue
• Exposure to diverse viewpoints and experiences
• Practical leadership application through real projects

Scholars work within a highly interactive environment where experience, inclusion, and innovation are central to learning.

This opportunity is intended for leaders seeking advanced leadership growth rather than introductory training.

Leadership Development Approach

Participants are expected to:

• Reflect deeply on personal leadership practices
• Engage constructively with diverse perspectives
• Promote inclusive participation in decision-making
• Build understanding even amid disagreement
• Apply new leadership insights both during and beyond the program

Program Timeline — Class of 2027

• Onboarding Webinar: 6 January 2027
• Module 1: 20–23 January 2027
• Module 2: 24–26 February 2027
• Module 3: 17–19 March 2027
• Module 4: April 2027 (mid-April session)
• Module 5: 12–14 May 2027
• Module 6: 23–26 June 2027

Scholars must attend all sessions and actively participate in program activities.

Personal Leadership Project (PLP)

Each participant develops and advances a Personal Leadership Project, which should:

• Address a real leadership challenge
• Deliver measurable benefits to a defined community or group
• Be achievable within six months
• Build on the applicant’s existing expertise or professional network
• Gain value from mentorship and program learning

Final decisions are expected in December 2026, with the program beginning in January 2027.
