FULLY FUNDED : Apply for the Renewable Energy Fellowship 2026 in the United States
Aspiring clean energy professionals in the United States are invited to apply for the Renewable Energy Fellowship 2026, a career development initiative jointly organized by GRID Alternatives and WRISE (Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy).
The fellowship is designed to support students, recent graduates, and technical training participants who are preparing to enter the renewable energy workforce. Through mentorship, networking, and direct exposure to industry leaders, participants will gain valuable insights into the rapidly growing clean energy sector.
The program will run from October to December 2026 and includes participation in the renowned RE+ Conference 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Program Activities
During the fellowship period, participants will:
- Attend virtual preparation sessions before the conference.
- Participate in the RE+ Conference in person.
- Engage in post-conference discussions and reflection activities.
- Connect with professionals from across the renewable energy industry.
- Build long-term relationships with peers and mentors.
Required Application Documents
Applicants should prepare the following materials:
- Updated résumé or curriculum vitae.
- Academic transcript (official or unofficial).
- At least one recommendation letter.
- Personal essay between 750 and 1,500 words.
Essay Topic
Applicants should explain their interest in the fellowship, describe their educational and professional experiences, discuss their involvement in renewable energy, outline their career goals, and explain how participation in the program would benefit them and their community, institution, or organization.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Interest and commitment to renewable energy.
- Academic or technical achievements.
- Work, volunteer, and leadership experience.
