If you're aged between 18 and 28 and based in Brazil, Ghana, India, Papua New Guinea, or Türkiye, the CIF Youth Fellowship offers you a unique opportunity to work on climate finance projects with leading global organizations.
About the CIF Youth Fellowship
Launched in 2023, the CIF Youth Fellowship is a one-year career development initiative that immerses young professionals directly into CIF-financed climate projects in their home country. Fellows will engage with multilateral development banks (MDBs) such as the African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Inter-American Development Bank, and the World Bank Group, contributing to climate action initiatives in areas like clean energy, climate resilience, nature-based solutions, and social inclusion.
What You’ll Gain

Program Details
- Duration: One-year program starting March 1, 2025, to March 1, 2026, with flexible working hours ranging from 16 to 40 hours per week.
- Stipend: A tailored stipend based on the cost of living in your country.
- Training & Support: Gain specialized training and professional development sessions to build your skills in climate finance and development finance.
- Location: Fellows will work on-site with their partner MDB in their home country.

Additional Information
Location: You must be a resident of Brazil, Ghana, India, Papua New Guinea, or Türkiye with valid work authorization.
Education: You should hold an undergraduate degree or be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
Passion for Climate Action: You must be passionate about the thematic areas of the fellowship and have prior exposure to climate action or relevant fields.
Language Skills: Fluency in English and the local language of your country is required, along with good writing skills in both languages.
