Fully Funded by the European Union : Apply for the Erasmus+ Training Course: “From I to Us” – Arterra Bizimodu, Spain

Applications are open for youth workers and emerging youth leaders from 12 European countries to take part in the Erasmus+ training course “From I to Us.” The programme will be held from 4–11 March 2026 in Arterra Bizimodu, a well-known intentional community and learning centre in rural Spain.

This initiative responds to the growing need for a shift from individual-focused behaviour toward a more collective and community-minded approach—an important change for addressing complex local and global challenges. The course is hosted by Arterra Bizimodu and supported financially by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme.

About the Training Course

“From I to Us” is designed to help participants transition from personal, individual priorities to a shared, community-oriented perspective. Using practices drawn from ecovillages and intentional communities, the course introduces practical tools that strengthen collaboration, collective awareness, and responsibility.

The programme blends several methodologies, including:

  • Non-violent communication

  • Sociocratic decision-making

  • Group dynamics

  • Participatory decision processes

All content is adapted specifically for youth work, organisational development, and community-based leadership.

Key Goals of the Programme

  • Support young people and youth workers to explore and apply their personal abilities and strengths

  • Encourage a shift from “me” to “we,” cultivating a sense of belonging and shared purpose

  • Work with tools focused on personal needs, values, and aspirations

  • Build capacity in group processes such as NVC, sociocracy, and collective decision-making

What participants can expect:

  • Shared accommodation in Arterra Bizimodu, a rural intentional community and educational space

  • Nutritious, largely organic meals using locally sourced ingredients

  • Reimbursement of travel costs after the mobility, according to the Erasmus+ allowance for each country
