Fully Funded by the Rockefeller Foundation : Be part of The Big Bets Fellowship – Climate
As part of its $1 billion commitment to advancing climate solutions and creating opportunities to reverse the climate crisis, the Rockefeller Foundation has established an annual fellowship aimed at equipping leaders with the skills and mindset needed to drive impactful climate solutions.
Each year, the fellowship selects a diverse group of emerging leaders from various sectors who are working on transformative solutions to address the climate crisis and support vulnerable communities. For 2025, the fellowship will focus on leaders from the Asia-Pacific region, encompassing Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia, and the Pacific Islands.
Focus on Asia-Pacific
The Asia-Pacific region, home to over half the world’s population, is at the crossroads of immense climate challenges and opportunities. With its rich renewable energy potential and critical ecosystems, such as glaciers, coral reefs, mangroves, and tropical forests, the region plays a crucial role in both mitigating and adapting to climate change. However, rapid urbanization, heavy reliance on fossil fuels, and escalating climate impacts pose severe risks, particularly for women, youth, and Indigenous communities.
The Big Bets Fellowship: Climate | Asia-Pacific will empower leaders to tackle these pressing challenges head-on, fostering sustainable solutions and resilient communities. Fellows will work towards advancing policies and practices that are beneficial for both people and the planet.
