The Korean government and NIIED have opened applications for the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) 2023, inviting international students from various countries to apply for undergraduate programs, including bachelor's degrees in Engineering or Natural Science majors, as well as associate degrees in Korea. To become a GKS grantee, applicants must successfully pass the first selection process conducted by designated universities.

What is GKS Scholarship?

The goal of the Global Korea Scholarship is to give international students the chance to pursue academic degrees at higher education facilities in Korea. This will increase international educational exchange and strengthen ties between Korea and the participating nations.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Period of Scholarship

• Bachelor’s Degree Program: 3~4 years
• 1 year of Korean language training + 4~6 years of degree program
  Associate Degree Program: 3~4 years
• 1 year of Korean language training + 2~3 years of degree program
  Important Notes regarding Scholarship Period
• Applicants who submitted TOPIK level 5 or 6 will be exempt from a Korean language program the following semester (September 2023)
