Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Uganda & South Sudan is launching its call for applications specifically for Ugandan students pursuing Master’s degrees within Uganda.

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, a German political foundation, operates across more than 120 countries globally. Our efforts contribute to securing and enhancing peace, freedom, and prosperity in Europe and beyond. Our principles center around personal responsibility, justice, and solidarity. They are staunch supporters of liberal, representative democracy, the rule of law, the Social Market Economy, and European unity. Courses and Universities

KAS welcomes applications in the fields of social sciences (with a preference for studies related to governance and international relations) and economics (with a focus on innovation and sustainability). KAS Uganda & South Sudan offers scholarships to Master’s students enrolled in accredited institutions with a strong educational standing.

KAS does not manage the admission process, which is solely handled by the universities.

In line with this, the foundation places special emphasis on youth as fundamental pillars for establishing sustainable democracy and fostering good governance in the present and the future. KAS provides opportunities for moral and material support to promising young individuals seeking academic expertise and skills in democracy, local governance, and development disciplines through local scholarships. These scholarships target aspiring future leaders across various social, political, and economic domains. Applicants must demonstrate their leadership potential to be considered for this scholarship.

The Scholarship Package

Successful candidates will have their tuition fees covered by the scholarship for a duration of one year, as determined by the university. Scholars have the option to extend their scholarships if they meet all submission deadlines and requirements.

Moreover, KAS will offer a stipend of 1,000,000 UGX per term to cover learning materials and books. The students are expected to manage additional costs like transportation, research, and other study-related expenses independently or through alternate sources.

Scholars gain access to KAS networks and are presented with exclusive learning opportunities through networking events and additional resources. They are also expected to actively participate in these networking opportunities and provide term reports on their personal and professional progress, as well as contributions to KAS.
