FULLY FUNDED TO HIGH-LEVEL UN MEETING AND GRANT: Apply for the UNEP Environment Young Champions of the Earth Programme 2025
Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 Champions of the Earth programme, hosted by the United Nations Environment Programme. Recognized as the UN’s premier environmental accolade, this award honours individuals and organizations whose initiatives have driven significant, transformative change for the planet.
This year, UNEP is inviting nominations for those who are pioneering creative and sustainable approaches to climate action. The 2025 edition will particularly highlight efforts that address methane reduction, sustainable practices in building and construction, energy‑efficient cooling solutions, the improvement of air quality, and forest conservation.
Winners will be chosen across four distinct streams. The first recognises those whose policy work has steered environmental progress at any level of governance, shaping discourse, forging commitments, and acting decisively for the Earth. A second stream celebrates leaders whose daring initiatives inspire communities and shift behaviours toward greater environmental stewardship. The third honours entrepreneurial trailblazers who disrupt conventional models, develop novel technologies, and lay the groundwork for a cleaner tomorrow. Finally, the science and innovation stream applauds those at the cutting edge of research and development, whose breakthroughs unlock new possibilities for sustainability.
By shining a spotlight on these remarkable efforts, the Champions of the Earth award seeks to elevate solutions that can be scaled and replicated worldwide, accelerating our collective journey toward a healthier, more resilient planet.
