Fully Funded To USA : Apply For The 2026 Yale Peace Fellowship

Applications are now open for the 2026 Yale Peace Fellowship.

Across the globe, conflicts are becoming increasingly intricate. The international order faces mounting strain, with long-standing norms weakening and institutions under duress. New and evolving threats—ranging from climate challenges and digital misinformation to political division and social unrest—are reshaping the dynamics of conflict and how it must be resolved.

In response to this evolving reality, there’s a need for a new generation of leaders—those who are deeply rooted in their local contexts, skilled in managing ambiguity, and committed to fostering lasting peace in societies marked by division and tension.

The Yale Peace Fellowship, offered through Yale University’s International Leadership Center (ILC), annually selects 16 emerging changemakers engaged in conflict prevention, reconciliation, and peace work. Participants represent a wide spectrum of sectors, such as diplomacy, civil society, politics, faith leadership, and social innovation. They are chosen based on their proven impact and potential to lead transformative change in peacebuilding.

This program is tailored for individuals at pivotal moments in their professional journeys—providing a space to step back, learn, and build resilience for future challenges. It fosters a collaborative environment where participants examine the pressing questions and realities of peace leadership today.

As traditional peace mechanisms face increasing pressure, the fellowship aims to empower local and regional peacebuilders who are driving innovative solutions to repair fragmented societies.

Program Highlights:

  • In-person gathering at Yale University: April 13–17, 2026

  • Virtual sessions: Bi-weekly from January to May 2026

  • International field visit: UAE, February 1–5, 2026 – includes participation in the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity, exploration of interfaith peace initiatives, and networking with global mediators and peace actors

Don't miss out on the application deadline which is September 2, 2025.
