FULLY SUPPORTED : Apply for the UNESCO IOC Ocean Traineeships 2026 for Early-Career Ocean Professionals

The UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) has  opened applications for the 2026 IOC Ocean Traineeships Programme, offering early-career ocean professionals an opportunity to gain practical experience at leading marine and ocean science institutions around the world.

The programme is designed to strengthen technical skills and professional capacity through immersive placements lasting approximately three months. Selected participants will work directly with experts in specialized fields while contributing to ongoing projects that support global ocean research, monitoring, and sustainable management efforts.

The traineeships are scheduled to take place between September and December 2026.
