Applications are now open for the Climate Policy Innovators Youth Camp 2.0, a regional capacity-building programme designed to equip young leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to engage meaningfully in climate policy and governance processes.

Organised by the UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Centre for Asia and the Pacific in partnership with leading youth and development organisations, the camp will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from 16 to 19 March 2026. The programme builds on the success of the first edition and responds to growing demand for deeper, practical training on climate governance, Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs).

The camp combines technical learning with hands-on activities, leadership development, and peer exchange. Special attention is given to inclusion and equity, ensuring participation from diverse backgrounds, including rural communities, Indigenous youth, low-income groups, and other underrepresented constituencies.

Participants will explore key themes such as global and regional climate contexts, youth participation in climate governance, climate action pathways, futures thinking for low-carbon development, and youth engagement in international climate negotiations.

By the end of the programme, fellows are expected to strengthen their understanding of climate policymaking, improve their ability to collaborate with governments and institutions, and contribute informed perspectives to national, regional, and international climate processes..
