Applications are open for the Climate Curve Prize: Methane 2026, a global initiative designed to accelerate innovative solutions tackling methane emissions within food and waste systems. The prize seeks forward-thinking innovators, organizations, researchers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders working on practical approaches to one of the most urgent climate challenges today.

Launched by Climate Curve with support from Global Methane Hub, the programme represents the first international award dedicated exclusively to methane mitigation in agriculture and waste sectors.

About the Climate Curve Prize

Methane is among the most powerful greenhouse gases, contributing significantly to global warming and air pollution impacts. Food production systems and waste management activities account for a large share of human-generated methane emissions, yet investment in mitigation solutions has historically remained limited.

The Climate Curve Prize aims to close this gap by supporting scalable innovations capable of delivering rapid climate benefits, improving public health, and strengthening sustainable economic systems.

Each year, an international panel of climate experts, scientists, and industry leaders evaluates applications to identify projects with strong potential for real-world environmental impact.
