Selected projects will receive grants of up to $300,000, along with access to a network of mentors, training, and a vibrant community of practice. The program seeks initiatives that help local communities adapt to the realities of climate change and build long-term resilience—such as improving food security, enhancing health systems, or bolstering coastal defenses.

Priority will be given to projects that:

• Harness and elevate local knowledge to make climate information more accessible and actionable.

• Develop novel AI applications in real-world settings (e.g., AI-powered advisers for farmers, climate-risk tools for low-lying islands).

• Improve the adoption, cost-effectiveness, or sustainability of existing AI solutions for climate resilience.

Not eligible for funding:

• Short-term relief or emergency aid.

• Pure research without a plan for field deployment.

• Projects focused solely on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

• Solutions that lack strong AI risk governance measures.
