GRANTS: Apply for the The Youth Climate Justice Fund (up to 10,000 usd)

The Youth Climate Justice Fund provides essential flexible funding to emerging youth climate justice collectives. These groups have the opportunity to request grants of up to USD 10,000, which can be utilized over a span of 12 months.

HOW TO APPLY

What are the criteria for applying?

You should consider applying if:

- Your group or collective is led by individuals aged 35 years and under. To qualify for a YCJF grant, most of your leadership must comprise young individuals, or those with decision-making authority should be 35 years or younger.
- Your group, network, or collective is based in North America or Western Europe but is headed by young people who face discrimination or marginalization based on factors such as class, ethnicity, or background.
- You uphold and demonstrate inclusive organizing, collective action, and movement building that considers intersecting factors. Your group, network, or collective is located in Africa, Asia, the Pacific, Latin America, the Caribbean, or Central and Eastern Europe.
- You follow non-partisan, non-violent, and legal approaches in your movements.

We particularly seek groups that:

- Foster diverse leadership rooted in equitable climate action, coupled with community influence.
- Elevate climate and socio-environmental justice goals, raising the bar for commitments.
- Hold policymakers accountable to their promises while bolstering community empowerment.
