Summary

You will report to the finance manager and take the lead in ongoing financial improvement work, introducing the financial accounts team and the larger organisation to professional financial management.

Become a Senior Policy Specialist for Climate Adaptation with GCA! As an essential component of GCA's solutions brokering role in the climate adaptation space, you will support GCA's ongoing support of the IMF's Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF), which seeks to offer countries low-cost, long-term financing for reforms aimed at mitigating risks to future balance of payments stability, including those associated with climate change and pandemic preparedness. Along with actively supporting the team's efforts in South Asia and under the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program (AAAP), you will also provide revolutionary technical help and analytics on climate adaptation policies that will speed up and scale up climate adaptation.

By fostering close collaboration with the IMF, national governments, and Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), you will have the chance to influence how climate adaptation is integrated into national policy reforms, public financial management approaches, and investments, ultimately paving the way for a future where climate resilience is assured for both Africa and South Asia.
