Project Management Specialist (HIV-AIDS)

Qualified Ugandans are invited to submit offers to USAID/Uganda for personal services under contract as HIV/AIDS Project Management Specialists.

Salary Range: UGX 157,828,400 to 232,334,711 per annum, equivalent to FSN-11. Interested candidates must adhere to the submission guidelines outlined in Section IV of the solicitation document. The submission package must include:

1. A completed DS-174 Employment Application for Locally Employed Staff or Family Member, which can be found at: (https://eforms.state.gov/Forms/ds174.pdf).
2. A cover letter addressed to the USAID Supervisory Executive Officer, clearly stating the position being applied for and demonstrating how the applicant meets the minimum requirements.
3. A comprehensive curriculum vitae/resume as specified in the solicitation document.
4. A separate document addressing each Qualifications Required Format (QRF) as outlined in the solicitation.
5. Academic Transcripts copies.

Chauffeur

Offers to provide personal services under contract as Chauffeur are being sought by USAID/Uganda from eligible Ugandans.

Salary Range: UGX 37,935,282 to 55,445,104 per annum, equivalent to FSN-4, (45 hours per week). Interested applicants must adhere to the submission guidelines outlined in Section IV of the solicitation document. The submission package must include:

Special Consular Assistant | Kampala

The post of Special Consular Assistant is open to qualified and eligible candidates, according to the U.S. Mission in Uganda.

For this role, the work schedule is:

Working 40 hours a week full time
Start date: The candidate's candidature may expire if they are unable to start working within a reasonable amount of time after receiving agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications.

No supervisory role

Tasks: The Special Consular Services Assistant works directly under the Supervisory Consular Specialist and is in charge of processing immigrant visas in an expedient and timely manner. The incumbent does a wide range of tasks, such as processing V92 Asylee Follow-to-Join cases, handling adoption petitions, and granting special immigrant visas to US government workers.

Administrative Management Assistant (CDC) | Kampala

The post of Administrative Management Assistant (CDC) is open to qualified and eligible candidates, according to the U.S. Mission in Uganda.

For this role, the work schedule is:

Working 40 hours a week full time
Start date: The candidate's candidature may expire if they are unable to start working within a reasonable amount of time after receiving agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications.

No supervisory role

Responsibilities: The individual in this role is in charge of managing the day-to-day operations of the Centres for Disease Control Uganda country office, including logistical coordination and support for one or more branches. Office administration, meeting minutes transcription and dissemination, document and correspondence preparation, travel planning, procurement processing, maintenance requests, time and attendance tracking, motor pool scheduling, and other administrative tasks are all included in the particular work portfolio.

Field Epidemiology Training Resident Advisor | Kampala

The U.S. Mission in Uganda is in search of eligible and qualified candidates to fill the role of Resident Advisor for the Field Epidemiology Training program.

Job Details:

- Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Start Date: The selected candidate must be available to commence work within a reasonable timeframe upon receipt of agency authorization and/or necessary clearances/certifications, or their candidacy may be terminated.
- Supervisory Position: No

Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be assigned to the Division of Global Health Protection (DGHP) within the Global Health Center (GHC) at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Kampala, Uganda. Specifically, the job holder will provide support to the Uganda Ministry of Health (MOH) in the implementation of its Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) in Uganda, along with other initiatives aimed at workforce development and health systems enhancement.

Additionally, this role will contribute to Uganda's newly established Global Laboratory Leadership Program (GLLP), launched in 2023, which collaborates closely with the FETP. Robust programs for building workforce capacity are integral to the Global Health Security (GHS) agenda, and will significantly contribute to the establishment and operation of a National Public Health Institute (NPHI) and an operational Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

EFM – Computer Control Assistant (Customer Service Supervisor) | Kampala

The U.S. Mission in Uganda is actively seeking qualified candidates for the role of Computer Control Assistant.

Job Details:

- Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Start Date: The selected candidate must be prepared to commence work within a reasonable timeframe upon receipt of agency authorization and/or necessary clearances/certifications, or their candidacy may be terminated.
- Supervisory Position: Yes

Responsibilities:
The incumbent will provide support to the Information System Center, overseeing the operations of the Customer Service Center. This role entails serving as the primary Local Registration Authority (LRA) and acting as the designated American escort to limited access areas (LAAs). Additionally, the incumbent will serve as the supervisor and rating official for two Customer Service Analysts and one Asset Management Clerk position. Reporting directly to the Information Systems Officer, the Customer Service Supervisor will be responsible for managing the team and ensuring smooth operations within the department.
