The OECD is seeking a motivated Junior Economist to join the Environmental Performance and Information Division (ENV/EPI) within its Environment Directorate.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on environmental and climate policies, with a focus on data analysis, GHG emissions, and sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management & Collection: Assist in the collection, processing, and management of climate policy data, including the IFCMA, CAPMF, and PINE databases.
- Methodological & Analytical Support: Contribute to the development of methodologies related to GHG emissions and climate policies, preparing analytical reports and policy briefs.
- Communication & Dissemination: Enhance the presentation of environmental indicators through data visualization, graphs, and maps. Liaise with international partners and internal stakeholders to coordinate data processes and results.
- Collaboration: Work closely with OECD teams, international organizations, and country experts to improve data quality and align efforts across multiple policy workstreams.

Eligibility Criteria
Education: Advanced degree in economics, statistics, environmental science, or a related field with a strong quantitative focus.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience working on environmental or climate policy data, particularly GHG emissions and related indicators.
Skills: Proficiency in quantitative data analysis, statistical software (e.g., R, Python, Stata), and database management (e.g., SQL). Experience in data visualization and communication is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English (knowledge of French is an asset).
Experience: At least 2 years of experience working on environmental or climate policy data, particularly GHG emissions and related indicators.
