Applications are now open for the GLFx Chapters Program 2027, a global initiative by the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) designed to support locally-led organizations working at the frontline of environmental restoration, climate resilience, and sustainable land use.

This opportunity is aimed at strengthening grassroots action by connecting community organizations to a global ecosystem of funding, partnerships, knowledge, and visibility.

About the Program

The GLFx Chapters Program brings together local organizations that are actively working to restore ecosystems, protect biodiversity, and promote sustainable livelihoods. Selected groups will either join an existing GLFx chapter or establish a new one, becoming part of a global network of environmental actors working across Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

The program focuses on building strong community-driven solutions that link local action with global environmental priorities.

Focus Areas

Organizations applying to the program should be working in one or more of the following areas:

  • Ecosystem restoration and reforestation
  • Biodiversity conservation and protection
  • Climate change adaptation and resilience building
  • Sustainable land and natural resource management
  • Agroforestry and soil restoration
  • Food security and regenerative livelihoods
  • Community-led environmental action
  • Ecopreneurship and green innovation
  • Indigenous knowledge systems and leadership
  • Women and youth environmental empowerment
  • Policy engagement for sustainable landscapes

Who Can Apply

Eligible applicants include:

  • Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
  • Civil society organizations (CSOs)
  • Research institutions
  • Social enterprises
  • Locally accredited community-based organizations

Program Structure

Selected organizations will:

  • Join or establish a GLFx chapter
  • Participate in capacity-building and training programs
  • Engage in peer learning and knowledge exchange
  • Implement community-led environmental initiatives
  • Access ongoing global networking and collaboration opportunities
