The National Institute for Economic Research and Analysis, or NIERA, is happy to announce that applications for its esteemed Policy Fellowship Program for 2025 are now being accepted. In the areas of economics, social development, and public policy, this fellowship is intended to give professionals in their early and mid-career stages the chance to participate in innovative research and policy analysis. Through advanced study, discussion, and cooperation, the program seeks to advance creative answers to difficult global problems.

  • Migration and Refugee Policy: Tackling the intricate issues related to migration, displacement, and refugee crises, with an emphasis on policy solutions that uphold human dignity and rights.

Financial Assistance: Throughout the fellowship, fellows will be provided with a stipend to cover their living and research costs.

Eligibility Criteria
The NIERA Policy Fellowship Program requires applicants to:

Have excellent communication skills and be competent in both written and spoken English.
belong to a West or East African nation that qualifies
Be a mid-level policymaker (technical personnel in ministries, government agencies, subnational government institutions, and/or parliament) who is directly in charge of writing policy or program documents and/or offering top-level policymakers technical advice.
own a bachelor's degree or more.
possess measurable expertise in program administration or policy creation.
possess strong computer abilities, particularly in the areas of Internet usage, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Access), and a reasonable level of familiarity with different search engines.
To take part in the online workshop, you must own a laptop and have a dependable internet connection.
Be a self-motivated person who is prepared to study and use the abilities they have obtained while also helping others who require comparable skills.
own a letter of support from their boss.
