PAID FELLOWSHIP: Apply for this funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Uganda
Are you a recent graduate interested in international relations? Do you want to learn about the work of a diplomatic mission and how the EU Delegation represents EU interests and values in Uganda?
They are offering a traineeship of up to 6 months within the Political Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Uganda, starting in October 2024.
Your main tasks will include researching and analyzing information, helping to write reports on policies and current affairs, assisting in organizing events, attending external meetings and events, reporting on them, helping with visits and missions, and assisting the Press Officer with daily press reviews and visibility actions.
To apply, you should currently be living in Uganda, have at least a Bachelor's degree in political science, social science, journalism, or economics, be fluent in spoken and written English, be motivated to learn, and be able to work well in a multicultural team. You should also have strong initiative, research, writing, and analysis skills, and be comfortable using Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Plus, you should have a keen interest in EU affairs and international relations.
Extra qualifications that would be helpful include having completed or currently doing Master's studies in international relations or a related field, knowledge of Uganda’s parliamentary affairs and political landscape, experience analyzing economic and sociological data, experience working in a team, social media skills, and networking skills.
