Applications are now open for the 2024 Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM. Since 2001, the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung has been supporting the international exchange of students and young professionals by awarding these scholarships. This program allows young people from Baden-Württemberg to go abroad and also invites foreign scholarship recipients to come to Baden-Württemberg.

Through the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana (AHK Ghana), the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung will support up to five young professionals from Ghana each year. These professionals, who work in manufacturing, craft, or service sectors, can apply for a scholarship to live and work in Germany, specifically in Baden-Württemberg, for up to six months. The AHK Ghana serves as the main contact point for Ghanaian companies and their qualified staff interested in this scholarship.

The program is aimed at young professionals who want to expand their expertise, learn new skills, and work with advanced technologies in foreign markets. After completing a six-month placement at companies in Germany, the Ghanaian professionals will apply their newly acquired skills back in their local companies. This exchange program provides valuable insights into working methods, business structures, and management concepts in the Southwest of Germany, fostering business-to-business relations between local and German companies.

Benefits of the scholarship include a monthly stipend of €1,400 to cover travel expenses, food, and accommodation, support with the visa application process, and an allowance for a basic German language course.
