Generation Climate Europe is looking for trainers to lead online sessions as part of their program called 'From Action to Elections: Sparking Youth Mobilisation in Europe'. This program runs from March to June 2024 and brings together about 20 young changemakers from Europe. It aims to teach them about the EU and the European Parliament elections, especially focusing on climate and environmental issues. The goal is to empower them to encourage young people to vote in the 2024 European Parliament elections.

As a trainer, your role is crucial. You'll educate participants, raise awareness, and give them practical tools for their own community engagement activities at the national or local level. You'll be expected to lead one or two of the following sessions:

1. Youth participation and civic engagement: This session helps participants organize actions in their communities, either online or in-person. It covers different tools and methods to educate young people about EU policy, especially climate and environmental issues, and get them to vote in the European Parliament elections.

2. Social media and campaigning: This session prepares participants to run social media campaigns during the election period and organize online activities in their communities. It teaches them about social media and campaigning tools and encourages them to use online methods to mobilize young people to vote.

Your responsibilities include designing and delivering engaging training sessions, creating content that helps participants implement activities in their communities, and finding ways to reach young people from underrepresented and marginalized communities. You'll work closely with the Generation Climate Europe team throughout the process.

To qualify, you should have expertise and experience in non-formal education methods, especially with young people, and experience in delivering engaging online trainings, preferably internationally. You should also have strong knowledge of citizen engagement tools and social media, especially in engaging with young people, and be fluent in English.

You should also have excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to guide and support participants, a passion for climate issues, and a commitment to engaging young people in democracy. You should be flexible to adapt to different cultural backgrounds and learning styles.

You'll be paid €300 (including VAT) to deliver a 1.5-hour online session in English for around 20 participants.
