The Hands Off Mother Earth! (HOME) Alliance is looking for a dedicated individual to take on the role of Narrative Working Group Coordinator. This remote, part-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the fight for climate justice by shaping narratives that challenge geoengineering as a false solution to the climate crisis.

HOME Alliance is a global coalition of civil society organizations, Indigenous Peoples’ groups, climate justice advocates, feminists, and grassroots movements united in rejecting geoengineering technologies. With the support of over 200 organizations and the active participation of more than 50 groups, HOME Alliance works to promote real, community-led solutions to climate change. The coalition engages in international policy discussions and collaborates with other networks to advocate for a just and sustainable future.

The role of the Narrative Working Group Coordinator is vital in strengthening the alliance’s messaging and aligning communication strategies with the broader goals of the coalition. The selected candidate will lead the coordination of the Narrative Working Group, facilitating collaboration among member organizations and helping to craft compelling narratives that amplify HOME Alliance’s mission. The position requires experience in developing narrative strategies within climate justice movements, as well as the ability to connect long-term advocacy goals with powerful messaging that drives systemic change.

Applicants should have a background in climate justice advocacy, network coordination, and civil society engagement. Strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and the ability to work in diverse, international teams are essential. While knowledge of geoengineering is an advantage, candidates with a passion for climate justice and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with international climate policy discussions and strategic development within alliances will also be beneficial.

This freelance contract will run for an initial period of eight months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. The position requires an average commitment of 1.5 days per week, offering flexible working hours to accommodate collaboration across time zones. While the primary working language is English, knowledge of French or Spanish would be an added advantage.
