The selected intern will work closely with the Mangrove Breakthrough Secretariat, providing support across multiple areas including finance, project development, communications, stakeholder engagement, and event coordination.
This role is designed for individuals seeking hands-on exposure to international environmental initiatives and multi-stakeholder partnerships working to scale nature-based solutions.

- Compensation: USD 400–600 per month (depending on qualifications and experience)

About the Initiative
The Mangrove Breakthrough is a global partnership focused on accelerating investment and action to conserve and restore mangrove ecosystems worldwide. The initiative brings together governments, financial institutions, civil society organizations, scientists, and local communities to strengthen climate resilience and biodiversity protection.
The program works toward unlocking large-scale investment while supporting locally driven conservation and restoration efforts.
Key Responsibilities
The intern will contribute to a range of activities, including:
Project Pipeline Support
- Assist in tracking and monitoring project portfolios
- Support project onboarding and progress reporting
- Help consolidate performance indicators and project data
Finance and Strategy Support
- Assist with country-level finance initiatives
- Support stakeholder engagement activities
- Contribute to the implementation of financing strategies
Event Coordination
- Support planning and logistics for workshops, meetings, and international events
- Assist with preparations for major climate and environmental gatherings, including:
- New York Climate Week
- IUCN Congress
- COP31
Communications and Outreach
- Help develop briefing materials and outreach resources
- Support communication efforts targeting governments, investors, NGOs, and other stakeholders
Operational Support
- Provide flexible assistance across priority areas as needed
- Support day-to-day coordination within a global remote team
Eligibility Criteria

Technical Requirements
