Remote Paid Fellowship : Apply for the 2025 Environmental Justice in Tech (EJIT) Fellowship

This remote fellowship provides a unique opportunity to shape the intersection of environmental justice and technology while gaining expertise in research, education, and creative intervention.

Project Areas
Fellows will take the lead on one transformative project while also collaborating on others:

The Editor // GLITCH Digital Zine
Oversee the creation of our annual publication focused on environmental justice in tech.
Curate and develop engaging stories at the intersection of tech and environmental justice.
Manage the design, layout, and distribution of both digital and print editions.

The Researcher // Data Governance & Climate Justice
Examine digital climate misinformation from a climate justice perspective.
Contribute to pioneering research on equitable data infrastructure.
Work under the guidance of Dr. Benedetta Brevini.

The Educator // Digital Educational Materials
Develop climate justice and coding workshops using platforms like Jupyter Notebook/Google CoLab, etc.
Create educational materials for both general and higher education audiences.
Design digital mapping and interactive activities.

The Creative // Creative & Cultural Interventions
Brainstorm and prototype fresh ways to engage new audiences around environmental justice and technology.
Collaborate with artists, writers, and technologists on interdisciplinary projects.
Potentially plan and host community events or online experiences showcasing these interventions.

Eligibility Criteria
- Experience in environmental justice through community involvement, personal experience, or academic study
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong self-management and project planning abilities—able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Team-oriented with a collaborative and friendly approach
- Skilled in using digital collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Suite)
