The LA2050 Youth Ambassador Program presents a fantastic opportunity for young Angelenos (ages 14 to 24) who want to make a real impact in their communities! If you're passionate about community engagement, philanthropy, and social change, this is your chance to step up and contribute to Los Angeles's future.

What’s Involved?

1. General Cohort:
   • From March to May 2025.
   • 8-12 hours total over 3 months.
   • Participate in virtual training and outreach activities.
2. Leadership Cohort:
   • A more intensive role, running from March to August 2025.
   • 32 hours total over 6 months.
   • Includes additional training and the opportunity to be a mentor, complete a leadership project, and join the Youth Grantmaking Committee.
   • A $500 volunteer gift for the added commitment.

What You’ll Do:

• Help spread the word about the LA2050 Grants Challenge by engaging your community to vote on which local issues should receive funding.
• Use creative tactics like social media, presentations, or phone calls to reach as many voters as possible.
• Participate in three mandatory virtual training modules covering philanthropy, community engagement, and social impact.

What’s New This Year?
For the first time, there’s a Leadership Cohort for those ready to dive deeper into the program and take on extra responsibilities, including evaluating grant applications and mentoring other Youth Ambassadors.

How to Apply:

• Youth Ambassador Leaders: Apply by February 20, 2025. Interviews will follow.
• General Youth Ambassadors: If not selected for the Leadership Cohort, you’ll automatically be considered for the General Cohort.
