FULL FUNDING: Nominate yourself to be part of the 2024 OHCHR-EAA Youth Advisory Board!
OHCHR is inviting youth-led and youth-focused organizations to nominate young individuals to join the new cohort of the Youth Advisory Board. This board aims to empower youth to advocate for their human rights effectively. Established by OHCHR and Education Above All (EAA), the board will play a pivotal role in the project "Working with and for youth in vulnerable situations including conflict, violence, and insecurity." To ensure meaningful engagement, a new cohort of the Youth Advisory Board will collaborate with EAA and OHCHR in implementing the project.
Nominees should meet specific criteria: they must be between 18-30 years old (as of 8 April 2024), have a minimum of 2 years of experience in advocating for human rights, including the rights of young people, at various levels (local, national, regional, or international), and possess a working level of English language proficiency.
The Youth Advisory Board will guide and monitor the project's implementation, develop capacity-building activities for youth, enhance and promote "YES" (Youth Empowerment Strategy), and participate in project events and activities. The board's mandate will run until the end of the project, anticipated by the end of 2025. Members will serve on a voluntary basis, without remuneration, and OHCHR will fully cover their travel expenses for participating in project events and activities.
