GRANTS : Apply for the Young Environmentalist Innovative Challenge
Established by KCDF with the kind donation of Mackenzie Scott, the Young Environmentalist Innovation Challenge (YEIC) is an environmental innovation fund dedicated to nurturing young individuals who are committed to environmental conservation, have strong values, and are action-oriented. In order to foster a sense of environmental responsibility, the Challenge Fund is accepting submissions of innovative ideas and solutions for environmental challenges.
A total of 23.9 million shillings were given to five youth-led organisations in the first series of the call to execute environmental innovations related to trash management, agriculture, and tree planting.
This is the second public call for applications for the KCDF YEIC fund. The fund aims to enable young Kenyans to adopt green and digital transformation by supporting innovative ideas and solutions that support the adoption of green and environmentally conscious practices. The award will be given to youth (15–35 years old) and community-focused organisations, whether registered or not.
The Challenge aims to increase young people's use of technological innovation for sustainable environmental conservation.
