FULLY FUNDED : Apply for the Pandemic Prevention Leadership Initiative Fellowship Program

Applications for the Pandemic Prevention Leadership Initiative Fellowship Programme are being accepted by the Wildlife Conservation Society.

The goal of the Pandemic Prevention Leadership Initiative (PPLI) is to enhance cooperative approaches and increase capacity in Southeast Asia to counter the risks that the uncontrolled wildlife trade poses to biodiversity conservation and global health security.

By means of its operations, the PPLI aims to cultivate a network of leaders with diverse backgrounds who are equipped to recognise and address the potential spread of high-consequence pathogens (HCPs) in Southeast Asian live animal markets and supply networks. The Pandemic Prevention Initiative will make use of opportunities for grant-supported independent projects, case-based training, and a cohort approach.

Emphasis Areas
To improve Fellows' practical knowledge and abilities in the following crucial areas, the PPLI will provide them with specialised in-person and online training:
Chains of trade in live animals: origin to marketplaces and end users
Biorisk Management in the Field: Biosecurity and Biosafety
Bio-monitoring
Risk Evaluation, Risk Reduction, and Risk Modelling
Monitoring and Reaction to Outbreaks

Don't miss out on the application deadline which is 10-Jul-2024.
