The largest association of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses on the continent is the African Union Enterprise Fellowship.

The goals of the MSME Forum are threefold and are as follows:

strengthen MSMEs' capabilities by providing them with training sessions on a range of subjects from training partners;

Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, information sharing, and creative solutions between governments and the private sector to close the funding gap for MSMEs and start-ups in Africa.

Promote cooperation at the regional and continental levels between public and private sector organisations, as well as financial institutions that support MSMEs, such as regional banks and multilateral development finance organisations.
