PAID FELLOWSHIP : Apply for the Princeton in Africa 2027–28 Fellowship
Applications are open for the Princeton in Africa 2027–28 Fellowship, a one-year paid postgraduate fellowship that places graduates with organisations working across Africa. The programme provides an opportunity for young professionals to gain practical experience while contributing to initiatives addressing social, economic, health, education, agricultural and humanitarian challenges across the continent.
About Princeton in Africa
Princeton in Africa (PiAf) is a nonprofit organisation that has been connecting talented graduates with organisations across Africa since 1999. Over the years, the programme has placed more than 790 Fellows in 37 African countries.
Fellows work alongside host organisations on projects that have a direct impact on communities and development priorities. Placements can span a wide range of sectors, allowing participants to build professional experience while gaining a deeper understanding of development work in African contexts.
Fellowship Areas
The 2027–28 fellowship placements may involve work in areas such as:
- Humanitarian and international assistance
- Public and community health
- Business and economic development
- Agricultural development
- Education and youth development
- Community development
- Social and economic development
Previous host organisations have included the African Leadership Academy, Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation, Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), Farming Out of Poverty (FOOP) and the International Rescue Committee, among others.
Selection and Placement
The application process includes an initial decision on whether an applicant will progress to the interview stage. The decision shown in the application portal relates to interview advancement and does not represent the final fellowship offer.
Final fellowship offers are expected to be made on a rolling basis during the placement period, which runs from February to May 2027.
