Applications are open for the International Youth Change Maker (IYCM) Country Coordinator 2026–2028, a global youth leadership opportunity for young people interested in representing IYCM at the national level and supporting youth-led action in their countries.

The opportunity is open to young people from all countries. Selected Country Coordinators will help connect young people, support the establishment and development of an IYCM Country Committee, and encourage initiatives addressing issues such as the Sustainable Development Goals, youth leadership, education, climate action, child rights, human rights and community development.

About International Youth Change Maker

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Bangladesh, International Youth Change Maker (IYCM) is a youth-led movement working to promote equal access to fundamental rights, quality education and opportunities for young people and children to participate in positive social change.

The organisation works through grassroots action, advocacy, community programmes and youth leadership development. According to IYCM, its network includes more than 700 international ambassadors and over 50,000 Bangladeshi changemakers, with its programmes having reached more than one million people.

Its mission is centred on advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while addressing social challenges through community-driven programmes and youth-led action.

Role of a Country Coordinator

Country Coordinators will serve as a link between IYCM and young people in their respective countries.

Their responsibilities will include:

• Representing IYCM at the national level.
• Connecting and engaging young people within their country.
• Supporting the development of an IYCM Country Committee.
• Encouraging youth-led initiatives and community action.
• Promoting engagement around the Sustainable Development Goals.
• Supporting conversations and activities related to youth leadership, education, climate action, child rights and human rights.
• Encouraging young people to participate in initiatives that contribute to community development.

The role provides an opportunity for young leaders to gain experience in coordination, community engagement, youth mobilisation and leadership while contributing to a wider international network.

Mandatory Video Submission

As part of the application, candidates are required to submit a short and authentic video introducing themselves and explaining their interest in the Country Coordinator role.

The video should cover:

• The applicant's name and country.
• Previous volunteer or community work.
• Why they want to serve as an IYCM Country Coordinator.
• How they plan to engage young people in their country.

The video must be uploaded to the applicant's own Google Drive, with access settings changed to “Anyone with the link – Viewer.” The shareable video link must then be included in the application form.

IYCM reports that its programmes and initiatives have reached more than 1,044,356 people, trained over 86,000 young people, and supported more than 10,000 youth through Change Maker Development.

The organisation also reports planting more than 80,000 saplings annually, providing over 7,000 mental health counselling services, and targeting more than 5 million children and adolescents through life-skills education.
