Applications are open for the Entrepreneurial Mindsets for Climate Solutions Bootcamp, part of the Climate Catalysts Mentorship Programme (CCMP) 3.0, a collaborative initiative under the UNFCCC Youth4Capacity programme and UNDP Youth4Climate initiative.

The bootcamp is designed to help young people explore how entrepreneurial thinking can be used to identify climate challenges, develop practical ideas and turn promising concepts into solutions that can work in real-world settings.

The programme is particularly relevant to climate-motivated youth who want to strengthen their problem-solving, project development, leadership and collaboration skills while connecting with peers and experts working on climate action.

About the Entrepreneurial Mindsets Bootcamp

The entrepreneurial mindsets component will be led by the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability at Harvard University.

Rather than focusing only on having an existing business or fully developed climate project, the bootcamp encourages participants to think differently about climate challenges and explore how ideas can be tested, refined and developed into practical solutions.

Participants will learn how to identify genuine needs, assess potential solutions and consider what is required to move an idea from an early concept towards greater readiness and sustainability.

The programme will also feature a Virtual Climate Café led by FXB International, providing participants with an opportunity to exchange ideas and engage with peers.

Key Learning Areas

The bootcamp will cover several areas of entrepreneurial thinking, including:

Introduction to Entrepreneurship

Participants will be introduced to entrepreneurship and the foundations of an entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on how this way of thinking can be applied to climate challenges.

Finding New Solutions to Familiar Problems

The sessions will explore how to identify real needs, look at familiar challenges from different perspectives and generate new ideas that respond to those needs.

Maturing an Idea and Making It Sustainable

Participants will learn approaches for testing ideas, refining concepts and moving potential solutions towards greater readiness and long-term sustainability.

Virtual Climate Café

A virtual Climate Café led by FXB International will provide space for participants to connect with peers, exchange experiences and discuss ideas around climate solutions.

About Climate Catalysts Mentorship Programme 3.0

The Entrepreneurial Mindsets Bootcamp forms part of Climate Catalysts Mentorship Programme 3.0, a collaboration between UNFCCC Youth4Capacity and UNDP Youth4Climate, powered by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security.

CCMP 3.0 brings together climate-motivated young people through three thematic online bootcamps:

• Project Design – March
• Movement Building – May
• Entrepreneurial Mindsets – October

Each bootcamp is delivered through several sessions over approximately one month. Participants also have opportunities for peer-to-peer engagement through a dedicated online platform and Virtual Climate Cafés.

What Participants Can Gain

The programme provides an opportunity for young climate leaders and emerging changemakers to:

• Strengthen project management and problem-solving skills.
• Develop entrepreneurial approaches to climate challenges.
• Learn from experts working in climate and sustainability.
• Explore ways of testing and improving ideas before investing significant resources.
• Build skills in leadership, communications and resource mobilisation.
• Connect and collaborate with climate-motivated young people from different backgrounds and regions.
• Participate in peer-to-peer learning and knowledge exchange.
• Develop practical approaches for engaging in climate action at local and global levels.

Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive a certificate of participation.

Outstanding participants may also have the opportunity to attend COP31 and pitch their project or solution at the conference.

Selected participants will be contacted to take part in the programme.

The Entrepreneurial Mindsets Bootcamp will take place through three online workshops:

• 15 October 2026
• 22 October 2026

The programme will conclude with a Virtual Climate Café on 29 October 2026.
